Project deadlines are available with the Studio and Agency plans. They are not included with Hobby.
Set a deadline
Only the project owner can enable, change, or remove a deadline.1
Open the project settings
Open the project and go to Project settings.
2
Enable the deadline
Find Project deadline and switch the deadline on.
3
Choose the date and time
Enter the exact date and time, or use the quick-selection slider to choose a day within the next 30 days.
4
Save the project
Click Save changes. Approvers receive a notification when you add or change the deadline.
What clients see
The project dashboard shows the exact deadline in a label with the calendar-clock icon. Clients can select the label to read a short explanation. During the final three days, the dashboard also shows a red warning with the remaining days and hours. Shootbin updates this countdown automatically. The deadline label and warning only appear on the project dashboard. They do not appear on other pages in the signed-in area.
Automatic reminders
Shootbin sends approvers an email reminder three days, two days, and one day before the deadline. Each reminder is sent once. A reviewer who has disabled project email notifications does not receive these emails. Reminders stop when the project has already been delivered, archived, or sent back after review. When the deadline expires
At the selected date and time, Shootbin closes the client review automatically.
Messages remain available, so the client and photographer can still discuss the project. Shootbin notifies the project owner and approvers when the deadline expires.
Request an extension
An approver sees Request extension on the dashboard after the deadline expires. Selecting it sends the project owner a notification. The owner can then open Project settings, choose a new date and time, and save the deadline. Once the new deadline is in the future, the approver can continue the review. Shootbin sends only one extension notification per approver for the current deadline. Changing the deadline resets the request, so the approver can submit a new request if needed.Related pages
