An album is a named group of photos inside a project. If a project represents a full shoot, albums let you break it into logical sections — for example “Look 1”, “Look 2”, “Day 1 Ceremony”, or “Product Variants”. Your client reviews photos album by album, and each album shows its own approval and feedback counts at a glance.

Create an album

You can create an album from the albums index page or directly from the dashboard.
1

Open the albums page

Navigate to your active project’s albums list. You’ll see any existing albums plus a New album button in the top-right corner.
2

Enter a name and optional description

Give the album a short, descriptive name. The description is optional — it appears as an “Album brief” inside the album view, giving your client or team context about what the album contains.
3

Create the album

Click Create album. The album appears in your list and is ready to receive photos.
Free plan accounts are limited to 2 albums per project. If you reach that limit, Shootbin will show an upgrade prompt. Pro and Agency accounts have unlimited albums per project.

Edit an album

To rename an album or update its description, open the album and click the pencil icon next to the album name or description. Changes save immediately on confirmation.

Reorder photos within an album

Inside an album, owners can drag and drop photos to reorder them. Grab any photo thumbnail and drop it in the desired position — the new order is saved automatically.
Drag-and-drop reordering is only available when no filters are active and selection mode is off. If you have feedback filters applied, clear them first to enable reordering.

Filter photos by feedback state

Inside an album, use the Filter button to show only photos that match certain feedback states. You can combine filters freely:
  • Approved — photos your client has signed off on
  • Rejected — photos marked as rejected
  • With notes — photos that have at least one annotation
  • No feedback — photos with no approval, rejection, or notes yet
The album header always shows a summary count for each state so you can track review progress at a glance.

Delete an album

Open the album and click the Delete button. You’ll be asked to confirm. Deleting an album is permanent and also removes all photos it contains. Album deletion is processed in the background, so large albums may take a moment to fully clear.
Deleting an album deletes all photos inside it, including any revisions and annotations. This cannot be undone.
