# Set up your Shootbin account

> Create your Shootbin account, configure your profile, set up watermarking and notifications, and manage team logins for Agency plans.

Getting your Shootbin account ready takes only a few minutes. Once you're in, you can customize your profile, control how clients see your watermarked previews, and manage how you receive notifications about your projects.

## Create an account

        Provide your name, email address, and a password. Accept the terms of service to continue.

        Check your inbox for a verification email and click the confirmation link before logging in.

      <Step title="Choose a provider">
        On the login or registration page, select one of the available social login providers (for example Google).
      </Step>

      <Step title="Authorize access">
        Complete the authorization flow on the provider's page. Shootbin receives only your name and email address.

      <Step title="You're in">
        Your account is created and linked to the social provider. You can manage linked accounts later under **Profile → Profile tab → Linked accounts**.

  <Tab title="Magic link (passwordless)">

      <Step title="Request a login link">
        On the login page, choose the magic link option and enter your email address.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Check your email">
        You'll receive a single-use login link. The link expires after a short time, so open it promptly.
      </Step>

      <Step title="Click to log in">
        Clicking the link authenticates you directly, no password required. You can use this method every time you log in.
      </Step>

## Update your profile

Your profile settings control how your name appears to clients and collaborators, and what watermark text appears on proofing images.

    Click your avatar or name in the sidebar and select **Profile**.

  <Step title="Update your name and email">
    Under the **Profile** tab, edit your display name and email address. Save your changes to apply them immediately.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set your watermark text">
    Switch to the **Studio** tab and find the **Watermark** section. Enter the text you want overlaid on proofing previews, for example your studio name or copyright notice. Clients see this on every proofing image until you deliver the final files.

<Note>
  The watermark text applies to the web preview images shown during proofing. It does not affect the original uploaded files or the files you deliver to clients.

## Configure communication settings

Shootbin sends email notifications when project activity happens, for example when a client approves photos or sends a project back for edits. You can control exactly which emails you receive.

    In **Profile**, click the **Communication** tab.

    Toggle individual notification types on or off to match your workflow. Changes are saved immediately.

## Request a personal data export (GDPR)

You can request an export of all personal data Shootbin holds for your account at any time.

    In **Profile**, click the **Account** tab and scroll to the **Personal data export** section.

  <Step title="Request your export">
    Click **Request export**. Shootbin will prepare a ZIP file containing your data.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Download the export">
    Once the export is ready, you'll receive a notification. Return to the same section to download the file. Export files are available for 14 days before they are automatically removed.

## Additional logins (Agency plan)

If you're on the Agency plan, you can create up to 5 additional email/password logins for team members. Each additional login shares your account context, the same projects, billing, and plan limits, so team members can work in Shootbin without needing a separate subscription.

  Additional logins are not a separate role system. Everyone with an additional login operates under the same Agency account and has access to all your projects.

    In **Profile**, click the **Account** tab. The **Additional logins** section is visible only on Agency plans.

  <Step title="Invite a team member">
    Enter the email address of the person you want to add and send the invitation. They'll receive an email to set up their login credentials.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Manage existing logins">
    You can update passwords for additional logins or remove them at any time from the same section.
  </Step>

<Warning>
  Removing an additional login revokes access immediately. Make sure the team member no longer needs access before deleting their login.
