# Signing contracts

> View and sign digital contracts attached to a project by the owner.

If the owner has attached a contract to the project, you may need to sign it before you can view photos or download the delivery, depending on how the owner configured it.

## How contracts work

Contracts are a requirement the owner can place on a project. They can require a signature before:

* Viewing the project's photos
* Downloading the delivery package
* Both

If a contract is required, you'll see a contract prompt when you try to access the project.

## Signing or declining a contract

    Click **View Contract** to open the full agreement.

  <Step title="Read the contract">
    The full contract text is displayed. Take your time to read it carefully.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Make your decision">
    Click **Sign** to accept the contract or **Decline** to refuse.

    * **If you sign:** A timestamped record is stored on the project and you can proceed.
    * **If you decline:** You cannot proceed further in the project. Contact the owner if you have concerns.

<Tip>
  Once signed, the contract record is permanent. The owner can see the exact time you signed and can revoke the requirement without losing the signed record.
